We got to thinking while hibernating indoors, in our warm PJs, buried in plush blankets, sitting around the fireplace with hot tea in hand: What is the best way for Amelia Biscuit Company to begin a new year? A year that so far is very cold, snowy, and our faces all hurt from the wind and our hair has so much static it's like being a walking science fair project. In the midst of trying to warm up, it dawned on us. Eureka! Let's start 2015 with new, exciting, healthy and oh so yummy Treaty Bites flavours!
The Treaty Bites family welcomes two new awesome additions - Salmon and Rabbit!
These two new flavours are excellent alternative proteins, great for the dog with allergies. They are also a leaner protein, and so they are an ideal treat for the pooch that's trying to lose that festive feast weight or one who just wants to maintain their healthy lifestyle. Both Salmon and Rabbit Treaty Bites are made with fresh, Canadian-sourced meats: we get fresh rabbit meat from our local butcher, and the salmon comes in fresh and flipping about from the East Coast. We use sweet potato broth in the recipe, making these two flavours easily digestible. And, of course, like all of our Treaty Bites varieties they have that big crunch that helps clean teeth and makes mouths happy.
Both flavours are available in the large 395g-size bag, and right now are listed on Amazon.ca, available for pre-order. They will arrive in our Paris store next week. Check out Amazon.ca for these new Treaty Bites flavours and many fantastic others, like Apple Cinnamon, Peanut Butter or Lobster Maple.
The rabbit flavour is also available in an Easter cello gift bag, as a 4-pack of bunny shaped treats! These are only available for a limited time! Once they hop out the door, they're gone. Other flavours in our Easter cello bag selection are the ever popular Carrot Cake and Lobster Maple. Cello bag prices range from $4.49 - $6.49, and are available at our Paris location and closer to Easter at select pet supply stores across Canada.
At Amelia Biscuit we bake the happy into healthy dog treats …. and now with rabbit and salmon!
